Mark stated above in his comment, "The vast, overwhelming majority of people will go through their lives without recognising" what I am terming 'deeper inner discernment." How do you think that is best taught?
When one has experienced 'deeper inner…
These comments seem even more profound to me since the Easter weekend has just ended. I found myself mentally reacting to the "shadow" of Christianity beliefs which were all around me; live Easter services on television, others wearing their cross n…
My son-in-law is of Persian descent, is living and working here as a U.S citizen. One day a customer came in to his pharmacy where he works and she assumed because of his accent he surely did not "know" Jesus, and that it was her Christian duty to c…
This woman is utterly amazing! About 2 months ago, I first watched the video at a Unitarian Universalist fellowship I attend. All who were there were touched and moved, even those who were self-proclaimed atheists and agnostics. I learned so much ab…

Please tell us a little about yourself, and what brings you here.
I have a Christian background, but became agnostic/atheist for many years during my 30's and 40's. For me, it seems it was a necessary stage to have journeyed through, like going into a coccoon. All I know is one day I emerged and the world was the same one, but it all seemed different to me. I was everything and everyone. Spirit and I became one, and were always one, only now I knew it. I had awakened.
I enjoy sharing and listening to others who are on a spiritual journey, also. I attend a Unitarian Universalist fellowship group where the attendees are at all stages of spiritual development. Many are in the agnostic or atheist stage as I had once been.
Diane - Thank you so much for accepting my invitation to join. I am thrilled we have a Texan, used to the wide open spaces, helping us open our minds more and more (can you tell I used to live in Texas?). I hope everyone gets a chance to read your story about Thich Nhat Hanh, and how, when he was growing up, his family used to prepare their lotus-infused morning tea. Delightful! Mark
